Green Zone Leadership (Full Day)

This workshop consists of an 8-hour face-to-face session where participants learn how to 1. develop their self-awareness, 2. anticipate and prepare for triggers that take them off track, 3. regulate to maintain focus under stress, 4. reflect to improve learning, and 5. adapt as conditions change. Both neuroscience and behavior change models are included in the learning experience to provide an evidence-based approach in all skill areas. Participants complete a calendar analysis to identify their Daily Operating Rhythm℠ and recurring hotspots in their work and relationships with others. Case examples are used to illustrate each skill area and to help apply the learning. At the end of the workshop, participants reflect on their learning and identify opportunities for improvement and immediate implementation following the session. During the learning experience, they 1. learn the neurobehavioral model, 2. complete a self-assessment, 3. learn and practice tools for improving awareness, 4. learn to avoid emotional tripwires, and 5. apply their learning in a personal change plan.

Creating Success in Matrix Organizations (Full Day)

This is a facilitated experience designed to help leadership teams understand matrix organizations and how to collaborate across organizational boundaries. Areas of focus include:

  • Reviewing the organization's goals
  • Business impact of collaboration
  • Strategies for collaboration

Building a Resilient Culture: Neuroscience and Organizations (Half Day)

This session is a workshop that helps leaders create resilient cultures by understanding how the human brain reacts to stress. Key areas of development are:

  • Recognizing stress in self and others
  • Anticipating and preparing for triggers that can be de-railers
  • Regulating to maintain focus under stress for self and teams
  • Growth mindset
  • Reflecting to improve learning
  • Adapting as conditions change

Both neuroscience and behavior change models are used to provide an evidence-based learning experience.

Strategic Alignment (Full Day)

This is a facilitated experience designed to help leadership update and optimize their organization's strategy. Participants in the session will engage in a highly interactive work session designed to produce and draft a 12-month plan. The workshop is organized as follows:

  • Reconnect with existing strategy
  • Agree on the critical few priorities for the next 12 months
  • Develop implementation plans for the critical few
  • Achieve agreement on the team cadence for implementation

Forerunners Leadership (Half Day)

The Forerunners Leadership Workshop is best for organizations looking for a development experience for their group that has an individual development component. This workshop is a practical application of mindfulness.

The outcomes of this workshop target a personal change in how individuals manage stress and avoid tripwire to become more effective leaders. While a strong emphasis is placed on teaching executives to recognize their cognitive state and regulate stress, an important element of this workshop is utilizing the team experience to support and reinforce.

Assessments

High Performance Team Assessment

The Kintla® HPT Assessment is designed to assess team effectiveness and help identify areas of opportunity for improvement. It provides an analytical database for reflecting on high-priority actions for forming and growing successful teams. The assessment consists of 20 items in four dimensions including alignment, process, behavior/relationships, and team culture. Assessment items were selected based on team effectiveness research and decades of experience by Kintla consultants. They reflect a practical and straightforward approach which can easily be applied in everyday work settings.

The report tells the story of team effectiveness in three parts:

  • How the members see the team's effectiveness, behavior, and culture
  • How the individuals see themselves in the team environment
  • A contrast between team and individual perspectives that provides insight into how well the team leverages the contributions of its members
 

Forerunners 360 Leadership Assessment

A customized assessment package for individual leaders. The results will help leaders identify their strengths and opportunities for improvement. It provides insights into your personal style and adaptiveness. 

The Model

The Forerunners Leadership 360 includes six major dimensions which cover both your leadership behavior and who you are as a person including:

1. Guide - How well you provide direction and establish priorities.

2. Think - Your ability to analyze and prepare when solving problems.

3. Influence - How well you develop and coach others as well as collaborate and foster teamwork.

4. Deliver - Your effectiveness in action planning, managing accountability, and providing resources to ensure results.

5. Adapt - Your flexibility and resilience under challenges and stress.

TripleRC Index

TripleRC is a special index that includes data from selected items across the survey to assess your self-awareness and how you are able to manage the stress and emotions of yourself and others. 

Overall Impact Rating

In addition to the dimensions described above, a single impact rating is included in the survey. This item asks all respondents to assess your overall leadership effectiveness relative to all other leaders they have known.

The results are summarized in a series of graphics, charts, and comments reports as described below.

Forerunners Self-Assessment

Leaders develop insight into their own performance and abilities by completing a comprehensive self-assessment that identifies style, preferences, and values (e.g. conflict management style, power preferences, influence methods, and personality profiles).

Hogan® Leadership Series

Kintla maintains coaches who are certified to analyze and debrief the Hogan Personality Inventory, the Hogan Development Survey, and the Hogan Motives, Values, and Preferences Inventory. Additional interviews optional.

Neurobehavioral Impact Assessment (NIA)

The NIA is a customized assessment tool developed by Kintla® to increase self-awareness and improve self-management and interpersonal influence skills. This self assessment is based on Kintla’s TripleRC toolkit including:  Recognition, Regulation, Reflection and Change.  Individuals complete the questionnaire online and receive a customized report that summarizes their scoring patterns, identifies strengths and opportunities, and recommends areas for improvement. An optional teleconference with a coach is available on request.

Daily Operating Rhythm Assessment

This assessment is designed to help define and analyze dominant patterns to identify low and high stress points for further analysis and personal change. The assessment consists of thirty items which surface and rate key events from repeating life patterns (e.g. meetings, creative time, breaks, personal time, etc.). The results are mapped into a daily pattern analysis which suggests areas of strength and areas where there are opportunities for improvement. The output of the assessment is intended to drive a personal change plan that involves making small changes for big impact.

Managed Change Experiences

 

High Performance Team Development (HPTD)

HPTD is a facilitated experience designed to help teams learn about neurobehavioral models of teamwork, strengthen team effectiveness, and build strong working relationships. This experience includes the following components:

1. Assessment. The Kintla® HPT Assessment is designed to assess team effectiveness and help identify areas of opportunity for improvement. It provides an analytical database for reflecting on high-priority actions for forming and growing successful teams. The assessment consists of 20 items in four dimensions including alignment, process, behavior/relationships, and team culture. Assessment items were selected based on team effectiveness research and decades of experience by Kintla consultants. They reflect a practical and straightforward approach which can easily be applied in everyday work settings. The assessment is also available as a standalone resource, as detailed in the "Assessments" section.

2. Team Review Session. The team convenes in a facilitated session for a full day to learn about the neurobehavior of teamwork, review their assessment results, and identify actions for a 100-day improvement plan. Clear accountability and follow-up steps are defined during the session as team members work together to review and reflect on their collective input and identify 1-2 areas for immediate action.

3. Implement the Plan and Assess Progress. The team implements the improvement plan during the 100 days following the team review session and reconvenes for a follow-up session at the end of this period to a. assess progress on team relationships and actions, and b. determine where additional work is needed.

4. Self Reliance. Following the 100-day progress review, the team begins to independently manage its own ongoing assessment progress reviews using a guide provided by the Kintla facilitator. Ongoing use of the Kintla® HPTD assessment survey and team reflection sessions facilitated by an internal staff members are recommended for sustaining improvements.

Coaching

Executive Leadership Coaching

One-on-one coaching using a three-dimensional model of feedback and observation to assess existing patterns and identify shifts that will improve effectiveness and performance.

Our executive coaching model helps leaders:

  • Understand their strengths, opportunities and impact on others
  • Increase their self-awareness and openness to feedback
  • Learn to make adjustments in their approach and overall effectiveness

We take a holistic approach, which balances personal and organizational dimensions. The personal dimension is explored through self-assessment of beliefs, values, resilience, and influence style. The organizational dimension is assessed through feedback from others and considers strategic thinking, delivering results, innovation, engagement, delegation, and managing talent. The coaching process includes four phases: 1. Prepare for coaching, 2. Develop Profile and Plan, 3. Reflect and Learn, and 4. Sustain the Change. Experienced Kintla® coaches manage the assessment and feedback process, conduct dialogue sessions with leaders, and provide learning and behavior change strategies to help improve the leader’s patterns and effectiveness.

Rise: A Coaching Program for Emerging Leaders

Rise is a learning and coaching program for developing high potential leaders early in their careers. The program focuses on: 1. understanding and managing self, 2. influencing and relating to others, and 3. improving overall impact on the business. Rise combines formal skill development with on-the-job coaching and leverages the peer network for sharing ideas and reinforcing learning. The program is designed for cohorts of 5-10 leaders and includes an 8-hour skill development workshop, small group reflection session, and a mix of individual face-to-face and virtual coaching sessions spread over 4 months.

Daily Operating Rhythm Coaching and Consulting

Our Daily Operating Rhythm℠ Coaching and Consulting services focus on utilizing the Daily Operating Rhythm℠ Assessment to help individuals and organizations identify small shifts that they can make that will have the most impact on their personal development and ability to achieve their goals. In addition to the Daily Operating Rhythm℠ Assessment, coaches and consultants leverage: 1. leadership assessment, 2. self-assessment, and 3. team interviews to guide the change process.

Kintla and WDHB Form Global Partnership to Enrich Leadership Learning
